Old Towne Hall

Picture
At its birth in 1884, the Old Town Hall, then known as The Town House, played host for our founding families as they managed, on a governmental level, the many challenges of a growing and changing population.  Located near the intersection of what we now call Army Trail Road and Route 59, it was moved into the Village in 1987 by a group of concerned citizens known as "The Old Town Hall Group."  This group then donated it to Wayne Historical Preservation Society in 2002.  Currently open on Flag Day and at various other times, it not only houses part of our historic collection, it is also available to the community for limited venue special events, for a small donation.
