Programs

Every program has a purpose and ours are to provide a sense of "place" for our families. Whether you are a current family, or a member of a family that was raised here in Wayne and since moved away, you know the feeling of stepping back in time as you drive into the Village on Army Trail Road.  The preserving of that "sense" is intentional and our residents are protective of it.  Wayne is not for those who want suburbia with its web of roads, stores and developments.  It is for those who seek a quieter shelter from the busyness of life while still having access to all the things that the Chicago land area offers.  To that end, WHPS coordinates the Wayne Day Festival for the Village, and is in the process of restoring the historic Depot for future community use.  In the near future, we will be adding in two events that will further our mission:  a Holiday Candlelight Dinner and a Ladies (both young and older) Tea.  Please be checking our web site and the message board in the Post Office for further information, and if you would like to be involved in the launching of these two new endeavors, please contact us at:  [email protected]
